  1. I used super glue and so far they have stayed together, Ive washed them several times by hand no dishwasher.

cheese and crackers…that’d be a good use..short candlesticks would work for that…

  3. Sher Stookey says:

Too short for cupcakes maybe but perfect for cheese and crackers & cookies but a bit of advice…most all of China’s plastic contains lead. I would still use something to protect the food from the plastic. Glass would be safer as far as protecting everyone from lead poisoning. As for someone knocking it off and it shattering..taping it down on the counter would protect that..so if this is self-serve for kids…pick your spot and tape it in place or velcro…whatever and you won’t have to worry about someone knocking it down and breaking it. I think it is an adorable idea.

I don’t think anyone is stupid here. There’s a lot of good input and I don’t understand why you are freaking out.

You always have to go to the blue-highlighted next page…I don’t know why. It’d be nice if it just showed you on the very first click.

i decorated the lids on tiny glass jars which were filled with sugar cubes that had petite frosting roses on them. i wasn’t allowed to use regular glue; it had to be “food safe” — i used a tiny mirror, ceramic roses and minute’ sea beads on the lid. i purchased the inexpensive food safe glue from amazon. i’m sure craft stores sell it. plastic & glue are porous; air goes through the walls creating a vapor and the vapor creates a gas. the gas is toxic. you can go online for free to the American Medical Journal as they have 20 year studies on everything. it’s a good resource. i had to be very careful because i had a form of cancer in the upper palette of my jaw & i was at risk of losing 1/3 of my face. i studied for 12 years just to be careful. so many people have children but the parents don’t realize why they’re getting ill. i’m just trying to share and be helpful. happy christmas & a very merry new year-!

  7. that’s cute. But I would have used glass.

  8. Liz Williams says:

easy! not bad is this a keeper or throw away after party?

  9. I would have used E6000 for the adhesive

  10. This is super and so easy! Love it! Like the idea of using glass plates.

  11. Anita Mason says:

these look like some real plates I have. very old.

  12. I did this, but used the plastic wine glasses. I glued mini Christmas trees and packages under the glasses. And they come apart for storage.

  13. I used them too!!!!!!!!!!!1

  14. Good idea like was said take to cook out or party and just leave it Great idea

  15. My gingerbread house is sitting on one of those plates. lol

  16. I use them all the time

  17. Darla Vaden says:

i seen the one with the plates before but i watched where she took a mason jar and different kinds of glitter. it was pretty.

  18. We used those for my daughters’ graduation parties in 2011 and 2012. They’ve been used for birthday parties and other things as well. The lasted and when the time came for them to retire we more than got our money worth.

  19. Shorter candlesticks would work well for candy or cookies. Why not do some of each if having a party?

  20. You could also use cheap plastic wine glasses to make it taller . Just a thought !!!!

  21. For all of the negative replies all she did was give an example of what you can do when buying things at the dollar store.

  22. You can do the same with dollar store glass plates and candle sticks/ holders using E6000 glue! That makes them hand washable too!

  23. I think it would have been pretty to purchase two sets of the candle sticks, glue the top of each set to one another then glue them to the plates. Would make the space higher and can get more cupcakes or other pasteries on them. Love the creativity, don’t know if I could have come up with it.

  24. I cannot get it to show me what the heck she made??????

  25. Gail Weaver says:

They sell taller candle sticks at Dollar Tree.

  26. IF she got them at the dollar store then the glass ones are also a dollar. Why not use them instead. I don’t like reusing plastic. I’d rather use glass. And she needed to use taller candle sticks.

  27. I’ve done this with glass plates also and had no problem with the glue sticking. I used a clear silicon and it’s washable in the dishwasher even. I’ve used mine for about 10 years now with no problem.

  28. If the candlesticks are plastic epoxy works. if you are mixing plastic and glass you need a special glue.

  29. Oh Lord. Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed? Or are you one of those people that thinks no one else is allowed to have a different idea? We have way too many small minded people like you. Make a note to yourself of your own excessive negativity.

  30. Shelly Smet says:

  34. You know what all you memes, blogs, whatever; if you want us to see it, make it easier — stop with all the “next” page sh** and so on. I’m mildly interested, but not enough to wait until you want to grace me with the details bit by bit!

  35. Most itmes at the dollar store are toxic.

  36. They need to put the arrow where you can click right thru and not have to look all over to see what to click on, I get bored doing that so I just dont bother.

  37. Kathleen Ann child’s play for you

  38. Negative and in capital letters.
