Depending on your style of decor and also the type of brick, there is no telling how they might be received.

When we first bought our home, I was confronted by exterior bricks and I wasn’t too happy about them.  We ended up planting to mostly cover them up and then trying to tie in what you could still see by matching the gate color to the color of the bricks.    Decent enough.

I think if this is something some one is considering, I would hope that they think it through and are not devaluing the home. Also there is ugly brick and beautiful brick please don’t ruin something that is already beautiful and full of character.

  4. who doesn’t know how to WhiteWash Brick???

  6. Um, a lot of people!

    YUCK ..WHAT A MESS ..

  12. maybe if it was diluted more, so more of the natural color shows through, or a different color that would blend with the natural color better, or as somebody else mentioned …. to paint the mortar between a different color to represent contrast …. but this way just looks all sloppy and washed up!

I’m with you guys! I do not like this at all! Brick is known to be easy maintenance. Won’t be any longer with this done to it and you sure can’t get it off.

  25. And who wants it white?? Not me. I like mine the way it is.
