I think if this is something some one is considering, I would hope that they think it through and are not devaluing the home. Also there is ugly brick and beautiful brick please don’t ruin something that is already beautiful and full of character.

  4. who doesn’t know how to WhiteWash Brick???

  5. After i whitewashed mine, I darkened the color of the concrete between the bricks. Really made a difference.

  6. Um, a lot of people!

  7. And its very trial and error. Trying to find the color you want. This takes many paint samples, bricks that come close to matching what you have and dilution amounts. You can’t just get white paint and dilute.

  9. Looks like a bad paint job

  10. Sher Stookey says:

Nope…don’t like it. I like the natural brick color better.

    YUCK ..WHAT A MESS ..

  12. maybe if it was diluted more, so more of the natural color shows through, or a different color that would blend with the natural color better, or as somebody else mentioned …. to paint the mortar between a different color to represent contrast …. but this way just looks all sloppy and washed up!

I’m with you guys! I do not like this at all! Brick is known to be easy maintenance. Won’t be any longer with this done to it and you sure can’t get it off.

  25. And who wants it white?? Not me. I like mine the way it is.
