Never Waste A Battery Again – Use The Bounce Test!

Knowing which batteries are full or empty saves you time and money, but there has never been an easy way to tell unless you had a fancy tester or multimeter.

It is common in our house to think a device needs new batteries when in fact it is actually broken. Once the kids take batteries out of the package and put them onto the counter with the old ones, no one knows which ones are dead.  Sound familiar?

Well now there is a fast way to tell, and that is to just bounce the battery.

And for those that don’t believe it, this was proven this week by scientists at Princeton University:

The coefficient of restitution of alkaline batteries has been shown to increase as a function of depth of discharge.

IN OTHER WORDS, the scientists were able to show that the amount of charge a battery has left is inversely proportional to how bouncy the battery is.
