Here is the video tutorial on how to make a door lock out of a fork! If you can afford a fancy security system, go for it. For the rest of us, this will do for now.

It's WISE to DIY: Thrify Ideas for the Do-It-Yourselfer
Trying to understand how this helps. If someone is outside & puts their boot to the door to kick it in, I’m not sure how this will help make it more difficult. Seems it’s on the wrong side of the door to make it effective as a brace. Would like to make & give to girlfriends. Do a video demonstrating how it slows down or prevents a bad guy from getting in.
