If I had a dime for every time I wondered if the baking soda in my fridge or cabinet was still good, I think I would have enough money to buy a lifetime supply of baking soda so I would never have to wonder again.

Probably you have wondered the same thing.  The box says to replace you baking soda every month. REALLY? I don’t think so.  You have to wonder if that is because they just want their sales out the roof or because the product is actually inactive after 30 days.

    LONG story short: Sprinkle some of your baking soda in a bowl of vinegar. If it fizzles vigorously, it’s still good.
