It's WISE to DIY: Thrify Ideas for the Do-It-Yourselfer

She Did The Coolest And Most Practical DIY With These Stones!

PEBBLE MAT

Materials:

  • Rubber mat with holes for drainage
  • Lots of stones (preferably picked up from your local beach-this will prevent them from being polished and too smooth to be perfectly safe.)
  • Waterproof silicone sealer in clear
  • A big plastic mat to work on

Directions:

If your mat is bumpy on one side, flip it over and work on the smoother side.

Then map out how all your stones will be placed. Consider putting the bigger stones over the holes so they don’t show through.  You don’t want to cover the holes up completely with silicone but you can cover them with the rocks.  Keep the drainage.

One at a time, apply a dab of the silicone to each rock and hold it in place, pushing down for a few seconds till it sets a bit.  Then move on to the next one.

To be safe, wait overnight for it to fully set even if the silicone says it will set in a few hours.

Enjoy it!
