The secret sauce here is simply CORNSTARCH and WATER!
According to anabelvita:
I ended up mixing 2 tablespoons cornflour (that’s cornstarch across the pond) with about an equal amount of cold water, then mixing that in about a cup and a half of boiling water from the kettle.
The whole process is quite simple.
Mix up your cornstarch “jelly” as described above.
Cut your fabric into rectangles the same size as the window panes.
Apply the cornstarch to the window with a paintbrush.

Then press the lace fabric onto the window.
Next, apply a second coat of the cornstarch/water over the lace. Let dry.

Beautiful!

Have you any ideas to switch this up for a man? Perhaps a mesh fabric in a more masculine color. Or even white would still work, right?
Thank you to annabelvita for this amazing idea and for her beautiful pics!
