It's WISE to DIY: Thrify Ideas for the Do-It-Yourselfer

With These Supplies, She Makes The Most Beautiful Wall Decor!

According to centsationalgirl:

What You’ll Need:  46-50 paint stir sticks; wood base, 7” embroidery hoop, 7” circle mirror, gorilla glue or hot glue, paintbrush, Xacto knife, plastic spray paint (optional, and not necessary if you use a wood hoop), craft paints in various colors; picture hanger (not shown)  Tools: miter saw.

You want to remove the curved section of the paint stick so start by cutting that off with your miter saw.

Next, paint your embroidery hoop with plastic spray paint.  Glue the mirror to the wood and the embroidery hoop to the mirror.

Add the picture hanger on the back before you start gluing on the paint sticks.

Lay out all the paint sticks to see how they will look and so you know how many you will need.

Paint your paint sticks.  You could also stain them for a more rustic look.  Different shades of gold look chic and rustic at the same time so that is def a good choice.

Use hot glue or gorilla glue to adhere the sticks to the wood.

Use an X-Acto knife to remove any residual glue off the mirror when you are done.

VOILA!

  2. I would love to see your DIY’s but, I’m not going to waste my time going on several pages when you could put it all an one page.
