These Simple Supplies Cost $5 And Will Organize Hundreds Of Dollars Worth of Stuff!

Supplies:

Wood Base/Plaque (I got mine at Michael’s – use your coupon!)
5/8″ Dowel (Mine came from Home Depot)
3/8″ Dowel (Mine came from Home Depot)
Wood Glue
Gold Spray Paint or another color of your choice (I used my favorite gold spray paint.)
Drill & Drill Bits

Directions:

First, you are going to drill a hole in the center of the base.  The hole should be slightly smaller than the largest dowel.

Next, cut the largest dowel down to the length you want the sunglasses holder to be.

Then, cut the smallest dowel into 4″ lengths.  Cut as many as you have sunglasses to set on the stand. (Maybe add a couple extra in case you buy some new ones.)

Then, put the largest dowel in a vice and drill holes that the smallest dowel can fit into snuggly.  Make the holes about 3″-4″ apart for adult sunglasses. Like so:

Place the small dowels that you had previously cut into the holes of the large dowel.  Use a little wood glue to secure.

Last, use some wood glue to secure the large dowel into the base.

Paint as desired (I love the gold they used here) and put your sunnies on it!

Note:  Be sure to measure out the distances you are placing the holes apart and how long you are making the short dowel pieces by holding up your sunglasses against where you are planning to drill.  You may have a penchant for giant sunglasses or you may be making this for a child.  Just make sure you are making them the right size.
