Speaking of putting your own spin on an Ikea piece, have you seen what was done with stencils on this simple Ikea dresser? Breathtaking!
For this shelving, all they did was spray paint the hardware gold to get these shelves looking chic and modern.
It is hard to see if they distressed and stained the shelves themselves or actually replaced them with old wood but either would work.
The result is so cool looking!
By the way, did you know that there is practically nothing you cannot spray paint gold? This is like the universal upcycle tool!
