The first thing he did was build this frame on frame that you saw above.

He added lighting:

Then he completed the base with wood sheets:

Added a headboard:

KRW0F1N

Which he then stained, mattress on top, plug it in and BOOM:

SAPOU4Q

This bed is pretty spectacular, right?  He did a great job executing this smart and unique idea.
