It's WISE to DIY: Thrify Ideas for the Do-It-Yourselfer

The “After” Picture of This Dining Set Is Like Night and Day!!

Annie Sloan pure white chalk paint was the game changer for this project.  It’s not a cheap paint but the results make it worth spending a little extra.

She used two coats (you could see her brushstrokes after only one) and then gently distressed all the pieces with some light sanding using a sanding block.

The next step was waxing the pieces to give them that nice antique finish.

To do this, she used Annie Sloan clear wax and dark wax, applying both with a rag alternately.

The results are gorgeous!!

What a joy to enjoy family meals at a table that was created with so much heart.
