1. Start your own jewelry line
Have you every designed jewelry or wanted to? These days there is really nothing stopping you from channeling your creative juices into beads, gold or anything your heart desires. 2. Juggling
Get physical in a fun way by learning to juggle. Mastering the basics shouldn’t take more than a few days of practice, and from there you can get to the fun part: tricks and daredevil stunts. Get the kids involved with this one, too. Start from the beginning with famous Dutch juggler Niels Duinker’s video series.
3. Sketching
Some of us are born with a talent to draw and some (such as myself) are just not. Luckily, this can also be a learned skill! Sketching is a great hobby to take with you wherever you go. The excellent free courses on Draw Space are a great place to start, and if you prefer videos, follow Brandon Schafer’s YouTube channel for a three lesson beginners’ course followed by plenty more installments with tips and exercises.
4. Yoga
You do not need to invest big money and time for 90 minute studio yoga classes. These days your options are numerous to work yoga into your life. yogameditationhome and doyogawithme are free sites that can help you tremendously!
5. Learn a language
We didn’t study it the way we should have in school (hindsight is 20/20) but it’s never too late to hone your skills. There are sites such as memrise and live mocha to help you. Also, there are awesome podcasts that you can listen to while you work out or while you are in the car so double-task.
6. Learn to dance
If you have a little space to dance, don’t let anything stop you from moving that body! There are so many youtube channels such as dance4learn and andersonmoore that you can subscribe to and get lessons and all the instruction you need to learn any style.
