It's WISE to DIY: Thrify Ideas for the Do-It-Yourselfer

She Adds Perfect Decor to A Bare Corner With These Supplies

What we are making here is a marble piñata!  Sounds unusual, but it is actually exactly what you would imagine, only there is no candy inside and kids get in trouble for hitting this one.

Materials:

  • marble contact paper
  • cardboard
  • scissors
  • ruler
  • tape

Directions:

  1. First you are going to measure out 6 triangle cardboard pieces. 38cm high and 30 cm wide.  Cut them up.
  2. Create 2 pyramids using 3 triangles each and seal the edges with tape.
  3. String a piece of string through the tip of one of the pyramids and tie a knot inside so that it cannot get through.  This is your hanging string.
  4. Then tape the two pyramids together.
  5. Next, you will cut your contact paper and adhere it to your cardboard diamond.
  6. Hang and voila!
