It's WISE to DIY: Thrify Ideas for the Do-It-Yourselfer

He Turned This Tire Into His Favorite Piece In The Family Room!

Here we will be making something quite upscale, but quite simple.

Supplies:

Directions:

Place the MDF on top of the tire and screw it to the tire in three spots:

rope-ottoman-step03 Do the same to the other side.

Next, using your rope and hot glue, start wrapping the rope in a circular pattern in the center of the top MDF board.  Hot glue it down as you wrap concentric circles, bigger and bigger and all around the sides as well.  Flip it over when you start getting down the sides and when the sole has completely covered the tire, cut it off.

The next step is sealing the rope. Paint the sealant all over the tire.  Make sure you follow the directions of how long to wait between coats and how long it takes to completely dry.  The Sayerlack (the one linked above in the supplies list) takes 2 weeks to fully dry.

And finally, the WOW finished product!
