It's WISE to DIY: Thrify Ideas for the Do-It-Yourselfer

Can You Guess Why Anyone Would Put A Perfectly Good Stamp In Water And Into The Microwave?

If you are nervous to try this out on a .44 cent stamp (is that how much stamps are nowadays?  I’m not sure…I always just the Forever Stamps at Costco–love those Forever Stamps) then you could experiment with a .1 or .3 cent one to make sure this works for you.  It will, BTW.

You’re simply going to cut the stamped part of the envelope off, put it in a small dish of water and stick it in the microwave for about 30 seconds.  It will slide right off.

the purpose for this would be what? Are you planning on trying to use it again?

  4. Putting a stamp on upside down does not make it unusable.
If you screw up addressing an envelope, after attaching a stamp (which you should never put the stamp on first to begin with), use some white out.
