Ask Not If This Frame Will Be Hung But Rather What Will Be Hung On This Frame!

This DIY magazine rack is rustic and industrial and so functional…I love it!

Materials:

  • a stud measuring 2 x 3 x 96
  • 14’ of electrical cord
  • four 3’’ screws
  • 2 shades of paint
  • sandpaper
  • two pieces of galvanized plumber’s tape with 2-3 holes in each (optional)

Make a rectangular frame and screw it together.

Drill the holes for the electrical cord to thread through.

Paint the frame as desired.  (One color inside and a different color outside looks good.)

Thread the electrical wire through making sure to pull it as tight as possible and affix it down at both ends with the galvanized plumber’s tape or just some screws/knots if that is all you have.

Voila!  Magazine rack EXTRORDINAIRE!!
