You an pick up an old ladder in a thrift shop or flea market pretty easily but it may not be the right size. Why search for it if it is SO easy to make yourself?
According to littleglassjar, all you need to do is pick up…
…Common 2×2 Premium Furring Strips for the two legs, and 1×2 Top Choice Whitewood Board for the steps across. We cut the strips to 6ft tall and each of the five steps were 17in across. I spaced them how I wanted them and just nailed them on top of the legs rather than to the insides.
Stain the ladder with the stain of your choice (she used Minwax Provincial) and lean it up against the wall.
No matter what season it is, your extra blanket is right where you want it.

Here you can see how simple the construction REALLY is:

Hammer and nails! That’s it!
Have you ever built such a simple DIY? Love to see what you made!
Thank you to littleglassjar for making this look so easy and for the great pics. See her site for more deets on this project.

I’ll check but I can’t pull picture up
I shared the post. Let me know if you can see it. No pressure if he’s got a lot on his place right now.

Mandy Lane I love this. Maybe to hang blankets on or perhaps photos?
Pam I’m sure he can make that I will show him the picture of it I finally got it to pull up do you want 2 of them
I would love 2. Will stain/paint myself. Need him to purchase material and work his magic! Will reimburse for material and pay him for his time of course. Kids got 2 mouths to feed! If he’s interested, let me know.
I’m sure he is…
I have another project as well if Tyler is interested. Have 2 identical benches that I need “modified”. I can take picture and point out the changes I want made.
Theresa Kent bench – need legs cut down at top to be below cushion
Ok I will show him
He will get the material this weekend to make it
I need a couple of these
That’s great! Tell him if something comes up no problem.
