Pebble mats have certainly made the rounds on Pinterest but they have had their issues.

Many of the tutorials utilize hot glue to affix the pebbles to the mat which is not really something that will hold up over time.  Also the pebbles from the craft store can be a bit slippery.  I found a tutorial that addresses these issues and still gives you a wonderful mat!
