I don’t know about you but any type of extra security I can hack onto my house is a good thing. ESPECIALLY if it costs next to nothing.
Not everyone can afford a fancy security system so hacks like these are very good to know.
This will reinforce your door locks so that no one is getting in. This is great for use while you are at home or away.
It is easy to do and you only need a couple of tools and a simple fork.
The fork you choose should have a tapered handle and the prongs should be 1 3/4″ to 2″ long.
You also need a vice, hammer and an optional file to smooth down the edges.

Trying to understand how this helps. If someone is outside & puts their boot to the door to kick it in, I’m not sure how this will help make it more difficult. Seems it’s on the wrong side of the door to make it effective as a brace. Would like to make & give to girlfriends. Do a video demonstrating how it slows down or prevents a bad guy from getting in.
