We have thrown our fair share of kids birthday parties and know first-hand that anything you can DIY for a party can save you a ton of money.
Making the cake is also a great way to get the kids involved and excited.
We found some really cool DIY cake ideas over at parentmap.com that our kids would definitely freak out over, in fact, they were hovering over the computer, ooohing and ahhhing as I attempted to write this post.
They were especially freaking out about the Minecraft cake but personally, I think the construction zone one takes the cake. Get it?
